Shingles vaccinations - are you eligible?05/08/2014
The surgery will once again be offering certain patients a vaccination for shingles this year, as part of a national programme.
The age range of patients who are able to have this vaccination is decided by the Department of Health, not by the practice. This year, the age ranges are as follows.
70 years of age on or after 1st September 2014
78 years of age on or after 1st September 2014
79 years of age on or after 1st September 2014
The vaccination is a single injection, and does not need repeating. The practice will be sending invitations to patients who are eligible from the 1st of September. Please note that we cannot give patients this vaccination prior to that date.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer vaccinations to anyone outside of the specified age groups.
