Churchill Medical Centre
The NHS App
Churchill Medical Centre would like to invite you to use The NHS App
Owned and run by the NHS, the NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet.
What The NHS App Does
The NHS App is a convenient and secure way to manage your healthcare digitally.
- Order Repeat Prescriptions
- Once logged in to the app, you can view and order their current repeat prescriptions.
- Once approved by your GP, the request is sent directly to your nominated pharmacy.
- Check Prescription Status
- Track the status of your repeat prescription in real-time.
- Request Medication Reviews
- Receive notifications about when you are due for a medication review
Other Services in the NHS App
- Book Appointments, such as cervical cytology screenings, dressings, NHS health checks, blood tests, etc.
- View Health Records, including test results, vaccination status, and past appointments.
- Get Health Advice and Symptom Checkers, including the NHS 111 online symptom checker, for quick guidance on medical concerns.
- Order and Manage Repeat Prescriptions for Family Members (such as, children, elderly parents, or others in need of support).
- Change your Nominated Pharmacy.
Keeping Your Data Secure
After you download the app, you will need to set up an NHS login and prove who you are. The app then securely connects to information from your GP surgery.
If your device supports fingerprint detection or facial recognition, you can use it to log in to the NHS App each time, instead of using a password and security code.
